Emily's Italy - fun in the hot springs

The hot springs were not super hot, they were warm. Some bit were deep, some bits were shallow and very rocky and some bit felt very weird. I liked them because I liked the deep bits because we could do flips just not when there are people around. It was two and a half hours to get there so it was worth it!

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Today we visited a photo exhibit of the work of Steve McCurry. The stunning and sometimes challenging photos filled the room. I was impressed that the kids enjoyed the visit and had lots of great questions.

These were the kids' favourite photos.

Sam: I liked the one there was camels and it was exploding.

Cal: I found the one with man with sewing machine pretty weird because it looked like he was saving his sewing machine like it was human.

Emily: the famous one. It was of a girl that was eyes starring at something and she was always watching you.

Afterwards we had a sunny lunch near a plaza where the kids could run.

And the medal goes to...

Today, after a month of playing, Calvin got an award for most improved player. He is very proud. And still very much in love with rugby.

MIM

It was a grey day today so we went to the Musical Instrument Museum in the beautiful Old England building.

The museum is experienced mostly through audio guides that have recordings of the instruments being played.

The kids loved this and danced and rocked out to bagpipes, accordions, horns and more.

Calvin's Cyprus: Ancient tomb fun!

On Sunday we when to Tombs of the kings it was the best ancient rune site in the hole trip. The tombs were fun because their was a lot of space to run around. In one tomb their was old steps that you can walk on, the tombs entrances look a lot like caves. Their was a temple to Hades or it could of bean a emperor's tomb. Some of the tombs were hidden so we had to keep our eye's peeled.

Sammy's Cyprus: Camels and Kings

the tomb of the Kings was fun!  I got to go into a King's grave.

And the camels were scary and funny at the same time.

Emily's Cyprus: "the pool, definitely the pool"

Gorge: The gorge was cool and awesome.
We were in a crack of a mountain and there were lots of leaves hanging down.

Pool: The pool also cool and awesome and vary vaaaary cold.
I stayed in the pool the longest out of all 6 kids that I stayed with.
